The Gospel this morning (St. John 9;1-41) led into a powerful sermon illustrated in part by photographs displaying art and poetry by Michele Bilyeu and “Earthrise” taken by Bill Anders in 1968 from Apollo 8, during the first manned mission to the moon.

The message? We need to look beyond the surface layer to see double meaning - there is both physical and inward illumination.

He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" (John 9:25)
