Did you know that Shrove Tuesday, also called Pancake Day is the last day of feasting before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday? The tradition of celebrating Shrove Tuesday and eating pancakes began because people wanted to use up the tempting food (like eggs, butter & fat) that they were giving up for Lent.
Come and celebrate with us at St. Peter Anglican Church. Dinner (all you can eat pancakes and sausages) is served from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, February 25. Pancake races to follow!
Everyone is welcome to join the feast and the fun. There is no charge for dinner, but a donation to the food bank is always appreciated.
