Sunday School Begins
Hello Parents, Grandparents, and Kids!
We hope you have had a great summer. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered to teach the “Fruits of the Spirit” lessons during Summer Sunday School.
Sunday School registration started Sunday, September 15 and will be on-going throughout the month of September. The Registration Form can be downloaded from the link below. Fill it in and bring it with you to church.
This year’s Registration Form has a list of “Important Dates for Children and Families at St. Peter’s”. Please cut off the list at the bottom of the form and keep it to add the events to your calendar.
Sunday school lessons throughout the year are lectionary-based which means the children will be learning about and discussing the same readings, usually the Gospel reading, read in church each Sunday. We will continue to use the curriculum, Whirl Lectionary. We are in Year A until Advent when the year will become Year C. There are two classes this year: Preschool to Grade 2 for children from the ages of 3 to 7 and Grade 3 to 6 for children from the ages of 8 to 11. Children aged 12 and older are asked to stay in church. Keith, Sandra and Jane share the teaching of the Preschool to Grade 2 class. Diana teaches the Grade 3 to 6 class and is looking for a teaching partner(s) to help with this class. Please speak to Diana if you are willing to help her. We look forward to seeing you soon.
