Come away for some peace and quiet before the frenzy of Advent and Christmas activities begin in earnest. Prepare your heart and soul as we await the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. What are your expectations of the season and of the New Year? Let’s explore our hopes and dreams for the future

In the depths of your hopes and desires Lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow Your heart dreams of spring. (Kahlil Gibran, the Prophet)

We begin the day with an abbreviated Morning Prayer including a short Centering Prayer/Christian Meditation. This is followed by our first reflection after which is a time of silent contemplation. At this time participants can walk outside, sit in the sanctuary, journal, read or perform another activity as the Spirit calls you. After a brief time of sharing, fellowship and lunch, we will begin our afternoon with a second reflection and more quiet time. The day will end with a Closing Prayer.

Please bring your bible and journal if that is your custom.

Coffee, tea and snacks provided, but remember to bring a bag lunch. For more information phone Margaret at 250-287-3704 or email at margshea147@hotmail.com. There is also a sign-up sheet in the church hall.
